QuakeCoRE Seminar – 2 October 2020
September 8, 2020Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE – Supporting emerging Māori researchers
September 30, 2020We are pleased to announce two new funding opportunities.
Details for each initiative are below, including links to additional information and the application forms. Submissions for each funding initiative must be received by Friday 16th October.
Pandemic Support Grants
Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE recognises that the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic has had, and continues to have an impact on everyone in Aotearoa New Zealand. The impact of the pandemic and associated government measures to manage the risk, have been seen to have a disproportionate effect on some groups. An individual-’s ability to work through the lockdown period may have been impacted by childcare or whÄnau responsibilities, group living situations, poor internet or other personal circumstances.
Grants are available for researchers that have been disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic to provide support for research-related costs. The aim of the grant is to allow researchers to regain momentum on their research activities, with funding to support activities such as research assistants, summer students, data collection or analysis as identified by the researcher. Pandemic Support Grants can be requested for between $5,000 and $15,000.
Proposal Development Grants
Grants are available for early-career researchers toward research-related costs for the development of contestable external research proposals targeting specific contestable funding programmes. The aim of the grant is to provide seed funding to enable miscellaneous data collection, analysis, proposal team building for the purpose of preparing strong proposals in competitive Aotearoa New Zealand public funding rounds. Proposal development grants can be requested for up to $10,000.
Please consider sharing these funding initiatives with researchers aligned to the Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE mission.
